Producer
As diligent as she is travelled, our Producer Alessandra has worked in both Italy and Spain before settling into our London office. A trilingual powerhouse, she speaks Italian, Spanish and English, which has made her an indispensable addition to our multilingual projects.
Take that Duolingo. She has a love of theatre, music and vintage, which makes her right at home in Covent Garden.
I’m a Producer, so I mainly keep the communication with agents and actors, and schedule the recording sessions. I am on the Media & Entertainment side of things, so I mainly work on English dubbing projects and dialogue origination for animation.
Swing dancing, listening to jazz music, watching true crime series… and any hipster, obscure and uncool activity you can think of.
We worked on a super cool animation project this year, but it’s still under NDA so I can’t say anything about it (YET!). No worries though, when it’s out you’ll definitely know as I will be bragging about it. A lot.
A series of unfortunate events. No, I’m joking, I love my job! The real story is that I used to watch a lot of shows dubbed in Italian, and I was always the annoying friend that had to comment on the dubbing and the translation all the time. So one time a friend of mine jokingly asked me “Why don’t you do the dubbing yourself then?!”. And, you guessed it, I took it quite seriously and ended up working in audio. Now I am the annoying friend that always has to comment on her own dubbing all the time.
I would say coffee, but we already have plenty of coffee in the office (do ask our runners to get you a cup when you come visit, it’s quite good coffee!) so I’ll say Aperol Spritz. I do think we should also have unlimited Aperol Spritz at Liquid Violet, but I guess that’s just me!
Does Ella Fitzgerald count as an historical figure?
Definitely Cosmo (Hannah’s dog). He’s by far the most loved team member.
Weirdly enough, that’s been a recurring topic of discussion in the office, and the team unanimously agreed that mine should be a Loris. (I don’t know what that says about our team or the idea they have of me?)
Asking someone to give a presentation with no advance warning is every introvert’s worst nightmare and should definitely be illegal. I need some time to panic and get anxious before I can give any type of presentation. But thanks for coming to my TED talk anyway!
Take away my morning coffee and I would be terrible at any job, probably.
