Chief Of Staff Morale Officer
Cosmo is Liquid Violet's CosMO (Chief of staff Morale Officer) and belongs to Hannah, our Casting Director.
He takes his responsibilities very seriously, diligently offering belly rubs and head pats on demand. Never missing the opportunity to look adorable on Zoom and IRL.
Q&A with Cosmo
What do you do at Liquid Violet/what does your job title mean?
I hold the important title of Chief Of Staff Morale Officer. It is my job to make sure everyone at Liquid Violet is super happy and that they are provided with quality Sausage Dog time (a guaranteed way to boost morale!).
I also support my human Hannah in the Casting Department although secretly I’m just waiting to cast myself in a project – I’m very good at “barks” you know.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Walks and playing with my squeaky broccoli toy are my favourite! I also love to attend the pub quiz every Monday where I ensure my team does super well each week.
What is your biggest work-based accomplishment that you are really proud of?
My biggest work-based accomplishment is simple: it’s the joy I bring to everyone.
What led you to this career?
I like to think it was written in the stars. Ever since I was a pup, I’ve always brought joy to people. Me and people go together like cheese and crackers. So when the time came for me to meet my human’s work colleagues I knew we would hit it off straightaway. I was offered the role instantly and the rest is history.
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?
There’s only one answer to this – Cheese.
Doctor Who offers to take you back in time – what historical figure do you most want to meet?
I would love to meet Waldmam VI (Queen Victoria’s first dachshund). I feel like he would teach me a lot about royal etiquette and as the lord of my household I have standards to uphold.
Which team member would you like to swap places with for a day?
Definitely Jareth. I’d like to know what it’s like to be 6”5’.
What’s the best part about your job?
When I’m in the office, I love it when I arrive in the morning and greet everyone by zooming around and around. It lets them know just how amazing they are. When I’m at home, it’s very easy to glue yourself to the desk all day so I love to make sure Hannah takes the breaks she needs by offering her plenty of cuddles and belly rubs.
What form would your daemon take?
Is Hannah not my daemon? She follows me around like a shadow so I assumed she was!
What could you give a presentation on with no advance warning?
What it takes to be the perfect pet.
What is a job that you would be terrible at?!
A long-distance runner, my little paws get tired too quickly. Hannah usually has to carry me home after a long day at work.
What’s one thing that you’ve never done that you would like to do?
I’d like to enter a doggie dancing competition at least once. I’ve got some serious dance moves.
If you could become an overnight expert in something, what would it be?
I’m pretty much an expert in everything I require but if I was to pick something I’d like to be able to speak human. They mostly understand me but sometimes they don’t comprehend just how important it is to give me treats.
Any hidden talents?
Where do I start! Just ask me any of the following – Sit, lie down, beg, speak, spin, back up, stay, paw and my personal favourite is sausage roll!
What was your very first job?
My first job was Delivery Alerter and it’s a job I still perform to this day. It is very important that if someone is coming to my house, I alert my humans at least 10 seconds beforehand. Did you know I can sense when a takeaway is being delivered about 30 seconds before the doorbell goes?
What’s one song that you have completely memorized?
‘Singin’ in the Rain’. I love dancing along to that and it’s where my name came from.
What other completely different job would you like to do if you weren’t doing this one?
I’d happily work at Neal’s Yard Dairy. Smelling and tasting cheese all day sounds dreamy.
